The Planks Tournament starts 1/29/19 - and Here Is A LINK with some good tips for making the tournament easier.
Check it out and give the ideas a try. But don't forget to alter things a little and find out what works for you. You'll find the best results from this page occur after trying the ideas and seeing what works. Since each city is unique in it's chapter, progression, buildings, troops, etc., one piece of advice does not work for everybody.

AWC Rotation For 1/28 - 2/3
For the week of 1/28 through 2/3 we will be helping out sheeplady4558, working on her Great Bell Spire.
The Great Bell Spire is a Human Ancient Wonder that gives you a reward of some random boosted goods every time you open a Neighborly Help Chest, as well as increasing the amount of time that neighborly help affects your cultural buildings. Along with the actual Ancient Wonder, it also gives your city one of the cool-looking cliff buildings in the background.
The Great Bell Spire uses the same rune as the Elven Ancient Wonder called the Crystal Lighthouse. So if you donate to the Great Bell Spire as an elf, and if you get a rune as a reward, you will be able to use it on the Crystal Lighthouse.

Steel Tournament Tips
Here is a link to some helpful advice on the Steel Fellowship Tournament. I have been using this site's advice for some time, and I have found that it is very good.
A few things I have learned through experience and would share with everyone:
- I mix between fighting and catering based on the makeup of the troops I am facing, and how many resources I have available. If I am low, I will usually fight more battles and cater less
- I almost exclusively use the "Auto-Fight" option because it is much quicker
- I will cater most provinces that have a mix of 3 or more troop types, unless there is only 1 squad of the 3rd unit type. When there is a good mix of 3+ types, I have found that I will usually lose a lot of troops in those battles
- I don't usually mix the 2 different troops they suggest in the "Auto Fight" section. I choose the troop that is effective for most of the units, and use only that one. I have been able to win most of the battles without losing many troops using this strategy
Things might be different for you based on any bonuses you may or may not have for your troops, based on your squad sizes, etc. Trial and error is the best way to learn what will work for you!

In addition it provides extra culture as a percentage of your required culture. This AW really provides a ton of extra culture once it is upgraded a few levels!

The Sanctuary is a Human Ancient Wonder that increases the health of all your troops while in battle, and provides a culture bonus as a percentage of your Required Culture. It's a great AW for people who like to battle - and it gives your city a cliff building! And if you have an Elven city and you donate KPs to The Sanctuary, the rune you get as a reward for donating Knowledge Points can by used in your Martial Monastery AW.
So if you are an Ancient Wonder Club member, be sure to donate at least 5 KPs to Karthor's Sanctuary this week.
